By accessing or using CoAtch™ (“the App”) — whether via web at go.coatch.app or as a native mobile application on iOS or Android — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Service Availability
CoAtch is available globally. The App is offered in English. Certain features may not be available in all regions due to third-party service limitations.
3. Description of Service
CoAtch is a soccer coaching management application that allows coaches to:
Manage team rosters and player information
Plan and track practices and matches
Record player statistics and evaluations
Create lineups and formations
Create tactical diagrams and whiteboard clips
Plan seasons with periodization tools
Scout and track opponents
Schedule team events
Import coaching data from text or photos using AI-powered tools
The App is available as a Progressive Web App (PWA) at go.coatch.app and as a native mobile application on iOS and Android. Certain features, including AI-powered import (Tap In), require an active internet connection.
4. Account Registration
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use CoAtch.
You must create an account using either Google sign-in or email and password.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their consent.
One account per person.
5. Subscriptions and Payment
Free Trial
New users receive a 30-day free trial with access to all features.
On web (go.coatch.app), a payment method is collected by Stripe at sign-up. You are not charged during the trial; cancel anytime before it ends to avoid being charged.
On iOS and Android, trials are managed through Apple and Google respectively and require a payment method on file per their platform requirements.
Paid Subscription
After the trial period, a paid subscription is required to continue using CoAtch.
Subscriptions are available on a monthly, 6-month, or annual basis. Monthly and annual plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until canceled. The 6-month season plan does not auto-renew.
Subscription prices are displayed at the time of purchase within the App or on go.coatch.app.
Payment Processing by Platform
Payment is processed by the platform through which you subscribe:
Web (go.coatch.app) — Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.
iOS (App Store) — Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions are managed through Apple and subject to Apple's terms. Payment will be charged within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period for renewals.
Android (Google Play) — Payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions are managed through Google Play and subject to Google's terms.
Cancellation
Web subscribers may cancel at any time through account settings at go.coatch.app/account.
iOS subscribers must cancel through Apple's subscription management (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions). Cancellation must be made at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Android subscribers must cancel through Google Play (Play Store → Subscriptions).
Upon cancellation, you will retain access through the end of your current billing period.
After your subscription expires, your data will be retained for up to 12 months. After 12 months of inactivity, we reserve the right to delete your account and all associated data. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before any deletion occurs.
Refunds
Web (Stripe) — Contact support@coatch.app.
iOS (App Store) — Refunds are handled by Apple. Request refunds through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Android (Google Play) — Refunds are handled by Google in accordance with Google Play's refund policy.
Past Due Payments
If a payment fails (web/Stripe), your account will be placed in a “past due” state and you will need to update your payment method to restore access.
For iOS and Android subscriptions, payment failure is handled by the respective platform.
6. Your Content and Data
Ownership
You retain full ownership of all data and content you create in CoAtch.
We do not claim any ownership rights to your content.
Your Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content you create or import.
If you store information about other individuals (e.g., player names, performance data), you are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate authorization to do so.
If you invite assistant coaches to your team, you are responsible for ensuring those individuals are authorized to view your team's coaching data.
We strongly recommend using first names or nicknames only when creating player profiles, especially for minors.
If you work with minors, you must comply with all applicable laws regarding the collection and storage of information about children.
Sensitive Information
CoAtch is designed to store coaching and athletic performance data. You agree not to use CoAtch to store:
Medical or health records (injuries, diagnoses, medications, allergies)
Sensitive personal information about players or their families
Government-issued identification numbers
Any information classified as protected health information (PHI) or sensitive personal data under applicable privacy laws
Data Export and Deletion
You may export your data at any time using the backup feature in Settings (JSON format).
You may delete individual teams and their associated data through the App.
You may permanently delete your account using the Delete Account button in Settings. Active subscriptions will be canceled automatically upon account deletion.
7. Imported Content and Third-Party Materials
CoAtch allows you to import data from external sources including text and photos of documents.
You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any content you import.
Do not upload or import copyrighted materials you do not have permission to use.
CoAtch does not monitor, verify, or assume responsibility for the legality of content you import.
Imported content is stored privately in your account and is not shared with other users or made public.
8. AI-Powered Features
CoAtch includes AI-powered features (collectively referred to as “Tap In”) that use third-party AI services to process data you submit.
Text and images submitted through Tap In are sent to Anthropic's AI service for processing. See our Privacy Policy for details.
AI-generated results are provided as suggestions. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all imported data before saving.
AI processing may produce errors. CoAtch does not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated results.
Tap In is subject to monthly usage limits displayed within the App.
AI-powered features require an active internet connection and are not available offline.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the App
Bypass or attempt to bypass usage limits, subscription requirements, or other access controls
Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the App
Use the App to store content that is illegal, abusive, or violates the rights of others
10. Intellectual Property
The CoAtch name, logo, branding, built-in activity library, session templates, and all app design and code are the intellectual property of CoAtch.
Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for your personal coaching purposes.
The built-in activity library and session templates may not be reproduced or distributed outside the App.
11. Statistics and Data Analysis
CoAtch provides statistical features including expected goals (xG) calculations, workload tracking, and player performance metrics. These features are provided for informational and coaching purposes only. All statistics, metrics, and calculated values are estimates and should not be relied upon as precise measurements.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
CoAtch is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind.
We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
We are not liable for any loss of data due to technical failures, service interruptions, or bugs.
We are not liable for errors in AI-processed data.
Our total liability to you for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13. Offline Functionality
CoAtch supports offline use through browser caching and Firebase offline persistence.
We do not guarantee the reliability or completeness of offline functionality.
Data created offline will sync when you reconnect to the internet.
14. Service Modifications
We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue features of the App at any time.
AI-powered features, including usage limits and capabilities, may change at our discretion.
We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.
15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
Abuse of AI-powered features may result in suspension of access to those features or your account.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us.
Upon termination, we recommend exporting your data first using the backup feature.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Kentucky, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document. If we make material changes, we will notify you within the app. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
